PHOTOS of Saturday"s hunt

I went out with my buddy Cliff last Saturday. Only got 28, but we had a good day talking in the blind. Beautiful warm day, close to fifty degrees, snow melting fast.

Here are a few photos;

My first crow fell on my FoxPro caller, this is just where I found him.

Cliff with the real decoys.

Most of the decoys in the photos are dead crows propped up in the snow like this one;

Decoys in front of the blind. This is one of the best blinds we've built, taller than us in most places, keeps us well hidden. No crow ever saw us before we shot.biggrin

This is how the crows flew away after we fired our guns............

Kev,

You have a good blind, it sure helps. If you are hid that well you don't really even need camo, just earth toned clothing.

Nice setup and great pic's. What better place for a decoy than on the foxpro. I use the old time caller with the horn and cord and have always thought about putting a decoy on the horn somehow. I'll have to work on that. Congrats on your hunt!

 Yep, you're right. My buddy just had a green shirt on and I shot for awhile with a blue fleece on. We had camouflaged jackets with us, but it was so warm out, we didn't want to wear them.

It was cool to be so well hidden that a few of the crows were shot at about 5 or 6 yards flying in.  POOF!

We talked about how he was trying to knock out our caller before he died.smile

The wind was blowing hard from behind us. Great wind direction for the hunt, but we were facing south which made it hard on a sunny day.

5065, Most of the crows that fly to our dekes are higher than the blind, so we were shooting up and out of the blind. For the ones that were low, we shot through the gaps in the blind. There are gaps there, you just can't see them in the photo.
