Sorry your season is ending.

Find a sporting clays place to practice up until the season opens.  I don't know about the rest of you, but when I miss a crow I almost always shoot behind him. Even when I hit a crow and knock him down, I find that I'm hitting them in the tail area most of the time. Shooting skeet and sporting clays to get better at swinging through the shot has helped me more than anything.

Lions share of my "misssed" crows are a result of them pulling off thet famous slipping back manouver when crossing shots are had. I low hold and slightly behind is required. Crippled birds and shot off tails, busted wings, etc... are for me a result of fringe hits... too much choke when birds are coming in tightsmile
