Here are some of the different crow blinds that Dick & I use depending on the location.

Nice blinds Bob.
Don't the crows notice that there are pine limbs in the middle of the field though?

Hey Bob: The first three pictures look like you guys are hiding behind vegetation. Is that for run and gun or is it a longer shoot? The one in the field looks big enough for two shooters. Looks really good.
I have made a portable blind for fast setup and take down. Gonna try it out soon, just waiting for mom nature to warm things up here.

Hello Loogin,

The first three photos were perminent blinds and the birds come to us over the course of several or more hours.

5065,

Even though the evergreens are out of place they are still natural cover. Without them (just the blind) the crows would not come near you. I've been doing this for almost 40 years with field setups like this.

Hi Loogin,

All trap loads in 7 1/2's in that photo, the 3 dram trap load. I use a modified choke but it patterns more like a full out of my Beretta model 391.

Go to "On Line Videos" on the Home Page and look for the heading "Scotch Double" that is a great film clip capturing two with one shot in mid air. They too were shot with a trap load, thats all I use.

Loogin,

To get to On Line Videos you have to click onto "Advanced Techniques" then scroll down to "Bob's Sudden Impact Series" Look for Scotch Double. Advanced Techniques is on the Home Page.

Bob,

With your blind out in the middle of a flat field, do you have lookouts? Where?
And do you still use a fighting call with that setup?

Hi Pat,

The distress call works real well and so does the mourning call once they spot the dead ones.
