It was pretty good BH! Not the first time I have eaten crow breast but wanted to try something new with the cull fat that I was introduced to at work.

That caul fat makes an interesting, "ahem," presentation, as they say on the food shows. I, like many others on this Forum, watched the guy on one of the outdoor channel shows, Dead Meat, a few months back, checking out some crow cookers (and other critters...).

Your photos make it look pretty good and if you were to tell me at a fine dinner that this was (fancy name like) "Medallions of Corvus," I might eat it and like it.

But now, we're on to youbiggrin.

Even though my passion is hunting and fishing my day job is a cook at a university. Sometimes I like to combine them.

Guys, I hate to sound like a hypocrite, but there are some things that even I won't eat. I grew up on a farm, and my parents encouraged me to eat everything that Mom ever cooked, and she was good about preparing and cooking evrything we brought in. Having declared that, I have grown to good old age without it, and I see no reason for changing now. I hate SPINACH!

p.s. I've seen too many crows eating dead opossums, racoons, squirrels, coyotes, foxes, and ground hogs that had been "sun-cured" to a black, greasy, oozing pile of fur and bones that are so ripe a dog wouldn't roll in it. I'd rather not eat 'em, thanks just the same.

Arnold, can you make sure you label that so I don't get any by mistake! Thanks

Maybe the international students will appreciate it though

He said he took some into work but I'm pretty sure that was just to share with fellow employees, not to put out.
