Three Percocets and help from my partner and we killed 25 birds

My best friend and hunting partner of 15 years took the weekend off to take me to our fav spot to hunt this last weekend. He did all the heavy lifting and really made it a very special hunt. This area was a newly planted huge field surrounded by lots of forest. It is the same  same place where last year three of us killed 28. Since I had not been able to scout this year I called the farmer and he told me this field had just been been planted so off we went. However this year instead of one big blid that I made out of conduit and army camo we each had our own Killzone blind. I told you guys about this blind months ago and man is it hot for killing crows. I had hunted coyotes from this a few months ago and it was great. This blind has windows on all sides that gives good visablity for other animals but it has a zipper top that allows you to stand up and shoot. It tool me a few birds to realize unlike other blinds where I would try and stay somewhat hidden while shooting standing up in this blind with just a camo hat on no face mask and none of the birds flared!! It was amazing. Birds would zero in on our decoy set up and and literally fly 15 feet above the ground over a hundred yards straight into the set up and our guns. Early when we started calling large groups would come in  like usual high circle and leave. Kill a few and there gone. But after the first hour we started to get singles and doubles literally within 15 t0 20 feet from our blinds. Standing in the blind surrounded by the camo of the blind and no outilne of our body our guns had to have made that difference.  In other set ups I would always have one or 2 come in like the Japs at Pearl H but all the majority of the singles and pairs were all low and not at all distracted by our blinds 40 feet from the deks and call. It was a great SUPER hunt. hunt with cancer 001.JPG

There are only 15 bodies in the pic the others were to far off the count and retrieve. Should of had more but I was grateful to get this one hunt in while I am still feeling up to it. If other areas open up and I have  the strength to shoot I hope to send in more reports. By the end of this week I will of had 3 chemos 2 left and 10 rad treatments. I will have 25 rads on my whole throat area and 10 just on the right lymph gland that is cancerous. I pray that by Christmas I will be done with treatments. Thank you fellas for all your thought and prayers.
