Well gents , 27 radiations to my throat area , 7 chemos and this night mare is about about over! The treatments end but it will take about 2 months for my body to restore what ever is left to function in my mouth and throat. I have been on feeding tube for 9 weeks and will be on until I can chem and swallow regular food probably sometime in Feb . I may have lost my siliva glands and taste buds but we will not know that for months. I can tall you this for sure. IF  YOU SMOKE OR CHEW YOU ARE A FRECKING IDIOT. No self gratification for a few minutes would be worth the suffering you thru to kill the cancer cells in the throat and mouth. I never smoked. Other than treatment for rectal cancer this is the most difficult to deal with. .The MD think we killed all the cells but in general this is a horrible disease. I have met some very wonderful survivors and some folks that will not see the end of 2014. I can tell you this if you did know Christ before this you and He are Buddies for life from now on. Prayer and faith is the only way to keep your sanity thru this whole ordeal.

Well I have lots of reasons the be grateful but one other important one is the weather in Ga has been so terrible that I have not missed much and Alabama has year around crow season. Thanks for your prayers and well wishes. All Crow busters have a wonderful blessed Christmas. I sure will. Jim

Awesome news! Glad it is coming to an end and here is hoping you get to taste food once again. I wish you a very blessed Christmas. I am sure this Christmas will be a little different for you now that you have had this experience. There is nothing like a little taste of death to put life into perspective and remember what things are really important.

Blessings to you and your family.
