I agree with Flocknocker. Congrats Bob!

...I think I was the only person sitting around the table that enjoyed their dinner.

For those that dont know, I'll put some names with faces:
(L to R): Flocknocker, Dick (hunts with Bob), Big Honkers, Bob, and Brian (hunts with Flocknocker).

I am going to pass on the photo "editing" ....for now.

Honk,

The food was much better when Joby picked the restaurant the second evening.

Since Dick is 79 and I will be 66 in February every one is young to us! Brian looks like a baby(a good lookin baby) and he is 30 years old!

I'm glad I got to share the experience with you fine young bunch of crow killers.

Sincerely,

Bob A.

Joby,

Looks like you had a hell of a shoot! It's very gratifying when you can get underneath em and they cooperate!

F'nocker,

I like that photo with the dog. It has good depth.

PS - Is that the hound that left the "deposit" in your room? lol.

I only shot one this day, but he decoyed REALLY well!

I shot a couple the next day.  One of 'em had some interesting piebald markings on the wings and a good number of brownish feathers.  Not good enough to mount though.

I can tell by the whole in your crow that he was point blank! Good going Jason, makes a nice window!

I have a good fire going at the house right now, expecting company around noon time.

Have a safe Holliday.

Best regards,

Bob

Darn it, now you can't tell what he just ate! You blew his stomach out.

Merry Christmas!

Nope. I shot him when he was only a few feet away. The shot charge pushed him backwards a good bit.

150,000 dead crows!  EXULTATION! Bert Popowski would have been proud! In a class by yourself ! Probably have accomplished a feat no one on earth has ever done! Yep...in a class by your self!

Hi Ken,

Here is a good photo of my partner in the blind, this was taken last week.

My partner Dick has shot a little over 111,000 crows in his lifetime. He hunted Ft.Cobb in Oklahoma until the crows moved out of the area years ago. Dick turned 79 last October but is in very good shape.

Have a safe Holliday Season.

Bob A.

I had a humorous shot on a crow last week. I was out duck hunting and this crow drifted by me just asking to be shot....
So I did... And my aim was off a little bit. I did not center him like you guys have pictures of. I blew his tail off. He/she was trying to fly with no rudder...... I did finish off the poor creature. But they don't fly good without a rudder on the rear end.

Hey flock have you guys had any problem with the dog and crippled crows?? I have a guy that has a 2 year old ball of fire that is dying to retrieve some crows. I won't let him bring her near a crow hide. I have always been told they can lose an eye with a cripple. Them beaks are sharp and when I shoot steel the crips are often, any input on that???

Chip,

My labs retrieved them all the time, both dead crows and cripples. Those crows would latch on to the labs nose but the lab didn't seem to mind. After a while the labs learned to just mouth the crows hard, not the waterfowl.

Never would have thought it bob with all the war stories I've heard. I may give it a try. I got a buddy that has young Jim that is one of those once in a life time dogs. This girl is amazing. She has the fire and ambition od ten dogs and listens better than most teenagers I've ever taken with me.

Hi Jason,

Yup, Jerry got a very good laugh over his handy work on that crow. Dick is the last partner I have that still hunts, Jim Lundquist is 89 but still alive; Boyd Robeson died 13 years ago on December 31st 2000. I consider myself very fortunate to have had these guys as hunting partners.

Talk with you soon.

Bob A.

L&S,

Retire?

I'm almost done for the season. I have 3,817 in the bag this season; so far. Got a good shoot a while back where I made 19 doubles and two triples on that shoot. Killed 130 crows with 160 trap loads in # 8's. Dick killed 120 on that shoot.

I still enjoy chasing em.

Bob A.
