Charlie and I went for a little hunt yesterday! It was so cold batteries didn't last any time at all! My camera batties went dead was able to snap a couple pics on cell phone! It was inside pocket close to body warmth!
We knocked down 19 and was able to lay hands on 17 of them!

Good day... we took 17, too. It was a cold morning, though, and I ended up with frostbite on the tip of my trigger finger - Stage 2. Didn't realize it was happening. Had the handwarmers in my mitten/gloves, but kept putting that finger out and exposed it too much. That sucker stung, and still does, but now is just swollen, numb, and tender.
Checked with the doc last night and ended up in the ER just to be safe. Not much I can do except watch it, and hope that it doesn't blister up or worse. I may out of commission for a while -- it sucks, and if it happens again, I could be in real trouble. Be careful out there!
Hey, you got to be careful about that frostbite stuff Rook-ie!
I bought that poncho a couple of months or so ago for about $39.99 not sure where maybe Amazon or Midway.
This is what it looked like before I added leaves and strips of burlap and camo cloth to it!
Still needs more in my opinion!
I bought a big piece of camo burlap to throw up a blind but with this leafy suit and my extra attachments they never spot me until they see the fire coming out of my 12 gauge!
I use just the cheapest thing I can buy Wally Worlds Dove & Quail loads they're 7.5 shot with a friends discount they're about 25 per 100 shells!
I have a Browning Gold Hunter 3.5" it's been my waterfowl gun for years and it doesn't handle the cheap 2 3/4" shells very well I had 6 or so failure to eject and/or feed. But I have a Rem 870 police cruiser 20 barrel with rifle sights it's kind of my HD shotty.
I'm going to pick up a new 28" barrel with Rem chokes for about $160.00 tomorrow! It should be a great Crow Bustin shotgun! It'll hold 7 in the tube! LOL! Bring it on crows! LOL!

This is the hardest forum I've ever used having all kinds of trouble pics never go where I try to put them I have to do a lot of copy and paste to post here! It's discouraging!!

Rook-ie I put the hand warmer packets on my wrists where you take a pulse count, either under my gloves or my sleeves whichever is easier! This warms the blood where it's close to the surface and basically warms the whole body.
I wear wool britches and shirt! On real cold days I put a warmer on my jugular vein on each side as well under a scarf or neck gator. Some times I have to take them off I get so warm!
