Hello to all this is my first post so hope it works
its been a while since ive spent a morning shooting crows and boy have I missed it,i was up before first light and on the field set up just before the first crow shouted at my decoys which were set out just to the left and up wind of my hide, minutes later him and his mate were over the decoys and well within range of my fully moderated Mossberg 500 20bore pump, two muffled shots sent two loads of No6 shot ................ that completely missed their intended target not the start I had in mind,
things did improve slightly over the next few hours and I finished the session with a total of fourteen carrion crows and two rooks
the picture was taken on the lawn when I got home I meant to take some pics of my hide and set up in the field but forgot... must try harder
anyway its great to be back shooting again looking forward to getting back out for some more practise ....because I certainly need it !!
I always do that -- start breaking down my set up and blind and forget to take some pictures first (not that I have as much success as you did). It's always nice to show what I did in case some real crow shooters have feedback on flaws in my thinking and strategy.
Scoots: Fine report, sir!!! Tell us more...about your sound suppressor I see on your barrel and does it offer any complications trying to see over that device when shooting? I think it might require some getting used to..
hi mark , yes there were three that had brown flight and tail feathers ive also seen several others plus a couple with white on them, one in particular all of his flight feathers are white.
I,ll post a picture of him soon..... I hope
