out early and set up before first light nothing special just a feeding set up with half a dozen dead birds on cradles,
first session was in a position that I had built a semi permanent hide and was a very pleasant few hours, the shooting wasn't great but managed to hit a few but forgot camera so no picture im afraid but on a positive note I did manage to score my first triple kill with the last three shots of the session with my Mossberg 500 which also took my total to 52 carrion crows from this particular area so I was very happy with that.
the second session was this morning pretty much the same set up but the slight difference was I was using some cartridges that I have loaded myself which is something else im new to so I was very pleased that they seem to work, providing I pointed them in the right direction
total for this morning was 11 carrion crows ,4 rooks,6 pigeon and 1 jackdaw not all are in the picture due to not being able to retrieve because of where they fell into heavy undergrowth and to be honest several were hit at very close range
ive just finished loading 100 shells for a sunday morning session
If they allowed us sound suppressors here I am certain more permission might be had to shoot on previously "No Trespassing" land...if for no other reason than that.
