It has started very early in my part of the world. Just yesterday while fishin I noticed about 100 or so birds on a roost flight. Time to start watching the skies n following birds. I'm hoping to miss the first full week of season this year!!! I plan to be on the airfield at fort Bragg meeting Lt. Young coming home from Afghanistan:):):)
From My family to yours Thankyou for raising a Protector of our Country. Tell the Lt. We do appreciate His service and sacrifice He has made on our behalf.
Thanks so much for the support fellas. I was pretty much a basket case that first 3 months. But technology helps. I need to post some of the pics he has sent. He was very busy n March April n may. Good fighting weather for the enemy. He shud be back on American soil the first week of November. I won't mind at all missin the first week bandit season this year. I made a pact with him that I would not touch a drop of alcohol while he is deployed. My last cold beer was February 25th at 10:28 pm next one will be with him! It's gonna be great!!! AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY!!!
Up here in Canada we had a very late spring. With this all seems to be a couple weeks behind. Good news here are that the crows are gathered up here in good numbers and these numbers appear to be much above normal. Bumper crop of crows in my opinion this season!

Give me about 5 - 8 years and you all are welcome to hunt on my East Texas property. In fact, all veterans are welcome as I'll be getting to old to properly control the varmints. ;)
Crows at this time of year are collecting with the families of summer and roosting before the coming of the northerners. I don't know if this is the case around North Carolina but it is he case here, for what that is worth...it's my experience here..
