Just started this sport this weekend, hunting crows to eat, figured no closed season, no bag limit, good way to put meat in the freezer, anyone else in Alabama doing the same?
Good luck with that, don't know if you are serious but pigeons and blackbirds have same status in Bama. We do it for landowners that have crop damage and no they get ate by coyotes and hogs.
Put six crow breasts in a croc pot with onions, celery, salt, potatoes and one brick. Cook for 10 hours on medium heat, take the crows out and throw them away and eat the brick!

Did not mean to be rude, thought you might be one of the crazy's that post from time to time. The FoxPro's are great and that is what I use also. As far as eating crows they can carry disease and eat a lot of dead animals, but if you look at hogs they can carry disease and will eat anything to, but I love me some bacon! If you want crows I hunt around Auburn and would be glad to drop off some if you want them.
Thats fine sir, no offense taken, you should have seen my family's faces when I told them I was even considering it, but as you said about hogs, and most folks love catfish and they eat everything on the bottom. Im just looking to try it, I reload shot gun shells anyway so ive got plenty of ammo to try it with. I would love take them off your hands if you dont want them, im just above Auburn in Lafayette, let me know when you will be this way.
I shoot a couple small orchards around Lafayette, one about twenty trees that I may not be able to shoot as much as the folks want it shot, I will speak with them about you and see if they want to meet you.
