Since not much is happening around here this weekend except “shopping” (not me), I thought I’d keep you informed of the important news about the country, at least according to our local “paper of record.”
(1.) The Horror--the Horror! People should not be poisoning crows, giving them an inglorious slow death—they should be blasted from the sky as all of you would agree. Speaking of the sky, the other “flying” story (2.) is here simply because it illustrates some people aren’t as smart as potential bacon.
That’s all for today. Gun deer season ends tomorrow here in MI. However, there’s always the antlerless week at Christmas. Maybe then...
OA, stop reading those magazines you see at the check out at your grocery.. Don't you know those things are made up??..
OK Mark:
How bout' this AP story about the Taliban making a feathered drone? What if our crows learn how to do this trick?

KABUL, Afghanistan — Afghan police said they are investigating how a wild bird came to bear an antenna, electronic devices and explosives. Police came across the strange sight around 8 a.m. in the northern Faryab province, a volatile region ravaged by Taliban violence. When police spotted the white bird — which isn't native to the area and appeared larger than an eagle — walking along a highway, they noticed it had an antenna and decided to shoot it, provincial police chief Maj. Gen. Abdul Nabi Ilham told NBC News on Saturday. The bird then exploded, he said, and "suspicious metal stuff" scattered around.
"We are gathering all the stuff, but found parts of what looks to be GPS and a small camera," Ilham said. He added that this was the first time police have made such an encounter. Police added that it is possible the bird had been "deployed" on a surveillance mission. Using animals in warfare or for suicide missions is unusual but not unheard of. Hamas militants reportedly put explosives on a donkey and pushed it in the direction of Israeli soldiers as fighting intensified this summer in Gaza.

Now that's perfectly believable and most likely true.. Yes, what if crows start fighting back? We're doomed..haha.. Always wanted to affix a decoy to a drone and fly it around some "flocking" crows and see their reaction..
