VP Joe Bidens' very bad legal advice...

Joe Biden on tv said if some one is messing about your yard  all you got to do is to take your double barreled shotgun and shoot it into the air in the middle of the night(Or when ever)..i can tell you this he sure doesn't know the law an d in most area (and here) that is ILLEGAL...noise for one and that is the least of it...you do not fire warning shots and if you are inside you cannot go outside to shoot your gun or any gun  as a warning shot...once you are inside your home you not in any danger...if there is ANY possibilty where you likely would have to use your gun where as remaining inside you would never have to then don't do it-call the cops!

I am saying  if there is a perpetrator outside...

Here is an example of that. In Manchester this guy went out to confront someone and he fired a warning shot and  managed to kill his neighbor across the street on the second floor....you think he isn't doing a minimum of ten years?

Back to Biden: goes to show you  the mentality of these politicians proposing new laws-they DON'T know what the law is period...some people think you can walk into a gun store and buy a gun like a candy bar...Sylvester Stallone found out it isn't that easy..he was saturated with all this gun hating crap. he goes to new York City to do a movie then finds out he cannot buy a machine gun..he couldn't believe it- why the  Brady Campaign and others have been harping for years you could get a gun anywhere you wanted by just walking in the door and laying down your  money!

Texas is the only state i am aware of you can confront an intruder in your yard upon discovery...other areas can land you in big trouble...another item is you cannot just defend yourself in any manner because someone yells at you or threatens you-there has to be an immediate threat of physical violence...and the here too once the threat is over you cannot continue to punish the said individual to "finish him off""'...
A good reference is 'In the Gravest Extreme" by Massad Ayoob...and don't forget the 21 foot rule...an opponent can reach you in about 1.5 seconds with a knife running at you...be aware of your surroundings..there is always some one out there all too happy to hurt you or worse...for any reason you can think of and then again no reason at all....there was a time in this country when prostitutes were likely never killed...they carried a derringer strapped to their thigh...nobody shot a banker..it was rare...bank robberies were rare too...walk into a bank and you won't walk out...
Jesse James career as a bank robber wasn't that long especially after that raid in Minnesota...most of his gang was wiped out...my how things have changed!

... and you cannot shoot someone who has broken off the attack either...once the threat is over it is over in the eyes of the law...this means the intruder in your home ran out the door...the only possible exception is if he was some wanted serial killer...but how do you know that? And you don't think the prosecutor wan't bring up :"How did you know that?" in a court of law-think again!

It's been a while since I've been on this site, kind of went in another direction. As far as having a drink, I'm haveing a few right now.

Since I stoped being a part of this forum I got into concealed carrying handguns. Read up on the laws, bought a bunch of handguns and have carried a Smith & Wesson 642 Airweight, 38 + P every day since I bought this revolver. It goes in my front right pocket when I get dressed in the moring until I get ready to go to bed.

I have bought atlreast fifty handguns in this time and I'm setting at around thirty of them now. The ones I have now I shoot and enjoy them. I'm still picking up others and see if I like them, the ones I like stay here. The others find a new home.

As far as self defense goes, only shoot as a last resort. If you do shoot, hit your target to stop the threat!

And remember a well placed 22 magnum will do more justice then a missed shot with a 44 magnum. PARCTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!
