Civilian Marksmanship Program just opened a new 500 acre shooting park about 20 miles from my home, location is about 5 miles behind Talledega Speedway off I-20 between Birmingham and Atlanta. They have a 600 yd range, with 200 & 300 & 600 yd targets that are computer scored, all you have to do is look at your monitor to see your hits. Also have 100 yd and several pistol ranges with the same system. For metal and paper shooters they accommodate them also and have additional 15 bays of action pistol rages. For us shotgunners they have a 15 stand sporting clay range that is challenging an Skeet & Trap also. Hopefully this will help on the Crow killin percentage. To see the park google CMP Talledega. They spent approximately 20 million on this state of the art facility which in these times of political hogwash against gun owners is a breath of fresh air.
I agree on the good news, hopefully this will be duplicated across the States by CMP. I like the fact this was started years ago by "Teddy" to strengthen the 2nd Admendment and have folks ready and able, with a strong emphasis on youth. Ohio has the first range and from what I've heard it does well and if this one here does the same other States will be in the future for all to enjoy.
We need lots more kids/people to be trained. TR knew it was crucial to national defense as did many other wise(er) Presidents. Given the scare tactics that are used in many public schools, it will take a long time to repair the damage caused by "progressives" (on the road to totalitarianism). For an example of stupid people, one stupid soldier, and an incredibly stupid, vague "law" in NC, take a look at this:
Fear has been used and sadly people have bought in on this state of mind, Govt. dependence too but on the bright side I believe there are more that realize truth and aren't afraid to take a stand against what is happening to our Country by the ones in power. July 4 represents "Independence" I embrace it and hope you and others on here have a great 4 th.
