gearly65 sent me an updated photo of his brown crow trophy. His mount was completed recently. He allowed me to post a picture here. I'll bet he will check in soon to make comments and answer any questions the crowbuster community might have.
Some of you may remember when he shot the bird, I posted some pics for him then too. It was taken on a hunt in Feb 2014.
gearly65, feel free to tell us the hunt story again. Im guessing folks might enjoy a few details.
I was really happy with the way the mount came out. My cousin took it to a guy who had done some turkey mounts for him. I saw those mounts and was quite impressed. I think he did a really good job. That bird was shot in Feb. 2014. Not sure how rare they are but know they are rare. Bob could probably enlighten us on how rare of a bird that is.
The first time i saw a brown crow I could not b believe my eyes! I mean the one sin the photographs ....including the other oddball ones...including that white one with the black head someone photographed...in- credible! I think BobA has a totally brown one stuffed in his museum-right BobA.? None the less truly remarkable odd birds!!
Three piebald's on one hunt is very rare, most guys are lucky to get just one. It must be a Georgia trait because here is another Georgia fish crow with a brown belly that I shot a number of years ago.
