First post in several months (maybe years)....feels good! Great pictures Bob! Waiting until after Christmas to get my first hunt in, that's when the wife will let me cut up the Christmas tree to use as cover...something about having a stump for a Christmas tree is a bad thing.

Bob, great pics!!! That's for sharing.. I especially like the "sun screen" looks like it works well. Our last hunt we had the sun just killing us after 10:00 a.m. Will implement something like that in future.. Happy hunting!!

Mark,

Those sun sticks work very well so you are not blinded by the sun!

Jason,

How was the hunting last week, Sunday looked good but it looked like plenty of rain the next day. That is why I did not make the trip, the weather looked like to much rain to take a chance on driving over 600 miles one way!

Thanks Bob, hoping it will be. I've got a guy who is new to hunting who I'll be taking along quite a bit, possibly a new roost to hunt, and a newly acquired 1950 Ithaca Model 37 12ga. to try out. Should be good.

Everything I've read has said they are extremely reliable. It's in near perfect condition as I'm pretty sure it was purchased and stored under a bed, unused. Bluing is nearly perfect, wood is perfect...makes me almost not want to use it, but I'm not that kind of guy. It's a tool and meant to be used. I just maybe won't go digging through multi-floral rose patches with it...

NG10,

I owned a model 37 Ithaca back in the early 1970's. I shot ducks, crows, pigeons, starlings and doves with that gun. I added some weight to that firearm inside the buttstock. It helped reduce the recoil because that model is very light in weight for a 12 gauge but still a great little popper to shoot.

You are going to love shooting that gun!
