I really like the action photo of Dick where you can also see the decoys in the tree as well. The next photo shows how well the birds were coming in during this hunt.
From left to right photo #9 is picturesque with the contrast between the brown grass and the winter wheat and the black angus grazing all at the same time. Plus the crows came out well as well in this photo.
Photo # 10 shows a small group on the west side of the blind.
Nice pictures. We don't even see 10 tens when we go out. Last year was awesome. There was plenty to shoot at and the fly-way was hopping. Thinking about wrapping it up with 2months to go.
On the subject of taking action photos, I am also a shudder bug besides being a crow hunter.
You need a lot of luck taking good action photos because you only have a fraction of a second to get the still photo. The birds have to make there approach at the right angle in order to get the shooter and birds being shot.
While Dick is in Mexico hunting ducks this week I will be going out solo for the crows.
I had a horrifying moment last week with my FoxPro unit! When I shut the lid to the Snow Crow Pro unit one of the positive cables slid over and made contact with the other positive cable and shorted the unit out! I could see smoke coming from underneath the lid of the unit. The unit was shut off when it happened but when those cables touched it melted the insulation right off the wires! The unit itself was not damaged at all just the leads got fried! I have made adjustments (tweaks) so this never happens again; this is why I carry more than one unit in the truck when I am out in the field. This Snow Crow Pro unit had two 12 volt batteries next to one another, it's a great unit, runs all day, no problem.
