I went out on a quick hunt this AM with my daughter. She was quite excited, she loves to be the retriever. We did not stay out long, only for the first 2 hours of day light. We packed up with 12 birds in the bag at 8:30am. I think we would have done better but there was a run-n-gunner out harassing the birds. We heard shots in three different directions from the guy.
Easy hunt, easy hide. We were lucky enough to hunt from standing corn on the edge of a hay field. Im lucky this family friend landowner lets us hide in the corn. Standing corn makes a blind that is hard to beat....and hides a lot of movement from a 6 year old.
Also note what she is wearing. It has always been my stance to worry more about your blind than what you are wearing. Camo doesnt really matter if you have a good blind.
