New pop up BALE HIDE bought

I just bought a new pop up hide.

Surprisingly ots russian made (probably made in China, but all advertisements and packing were in Russian)

havent tried it yet, but if it performs as well as I think it will, it's going to be ideal amongst the barley, wheat, and oat straw bales :)

I am going to invest in one of these. The conditions I faced last year told me immediately the natural blinds were too confining and I missed a lot...!

I've found the pop up hopes to be a godsend, especially if hunting alone. That said they are a right sod to get back into their bags when you've finished, as they are a very tight dirt. Another 1-2 inches in the bag would make life so much easier.

if you have time, always add a bit of natural camouflage to the outer S, branches with leaves layer against them. That helps if you have wary birds, but often the hides work fine as they are

main thing is the bird doesn't see a HUMAN until too late

   Thanks for the advice!

All too often in the past  it was difficult to shoot  crows  due to the trees that "pushed" them up  or the blind prevented ideal 360 degree shooting and if they hang up behind you then you are screwed...this kept my numbers down and always has...

Who sells them?  It looks good especially the side facing the sun, but looking in the other photo if the sun was behind you it may produce a puppet show of your movements by your shadow to the oncoming birds.  I would definitely augment that side in particular with brush.  Is it one man or two? How easy is it to transport?

Do a Google search for "bale blind" and you'll find several. Prices from $100 to $550, depending on size, quality, etc.

Here is one on the lower end: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00K34RD4E/ref=mp_s_a_1_4/168-5346039-7184737?ie=UTF8&qid=1471808475&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=bale+blind&dpPl=1&dpID=619PGU70shL&ref=plSrch

Very easy to transport in a round bag about 18"x18"

wighs about 13-14 lbs

it's supposed to be a two man, but my experience of pop up hides tell be two men is possible but a tight fit, and would require very good hide protocols, whereas for one man it's nice and roomy Without being exceptionally large.

that said, I haven't tried this particular one yet, so going to unpack it now and see how big it is

Right, just assembled it, which is a sod as lots of different length poles and no instructions

Right a single two section pole goes upright front and back and is tied into place
Then two each front and back goes a four section pole forming an X front and back behind the tied upright

Then three three section ones go into the see through flap, and a single three section goes at the apex of the roof, forming a crossmember
There are two three section poles that are spare as far as I can see.
There are also a mass of tent pegs

Putting it up alone is problematic but not Impossible, really it's a two man job
The same with taking it down and folding it up to put in the bag. (If you don't know how to fold it back up, see YouTube videos on Pope up hides

It measures 58"x58"x58" so as I said, two man but really a roomy one man hide LOL
And here's some photos

quick edit, the carrying bag you store it in, comes as a rucksack, I.e. Two shoulder straps and a waist belt

so easy to transport
