Went out solo this a:m an shot a new property for the first time, didn't have a lot of confidence because of the drought conditions that has left me scratching my head after having some tough hunts and after Elkhunter had the tough hunt it was looking bad. Well Crows have a way of making you a hero or zero and all points in between.
Well here goes, started ruff (no sleep, watched election coverage) got there and set up and "it was on" green birds and very accommodating, knock feathers out mouthcall him back and "poof ". About 35% soft shots and the rest was sporty. My head was on a swivel all a:m as they came from all directions. Shut down around 10 a:m and the "clicker" showed 120, my best Solo hunt to date. If I had been on with the gun the total would have been higher, probly shot 60% or lower. Anyway Mr. Crow got my "want to" back an things might be turning our way a bit. Pics below are with the flip phone so not to good, but I did try to clean the lense this time. By the way counted 118 I put in the truck bed and thru out 116 go figure, hope I don't get a smelly suprize.

1- around the edge of field in thick brush, usually put them on orchards burn piles but couldn't because they were harvesting and would have had to drive over pecans.
2- yes mature trees, I prefer younger orchards. Short trees = low birds Tall trees = high birds and I need all the advantage I can get, but as you know in this game you take what you can get.
