got out for 4 hours this morning by myself and put 33 crows in the dirt by 10 am....if i was able to sit all day i would have broken 60 easy...excited for next weekend!!!!

pretty much the look on my face when i found them PILED up where my farmer dumped the left over pumpkins top cat...
last week i struggled to shoot 14...with a slow pick...this last cold front/full moon must have pushed them in from up north....going to do a full day sit on friday....so freaking excited...
Always a good thing to get on birds, Congrats on a great shoot! Look forward to your next hunt report, hope you can't keep the gun loaded fast enough. ( make that "struggle to" instead of "can't")
thanks guys.... FRIDAY its SOOOO ON got the WHOLE DAY and they just dumped 200 pumpkins today and the crows were already into them as of this evening...should be a hell of a shoot friday...
only downside is this will probably be my last crow shoot till end of January being duck season will be in full swing come thanksgiving and all my time will be devoted to chasing ducks...but as soon as they close i will dedicate all my free time to crows for February and March...
yes this is the meth lab....but im about 200 yards to the left of that field....
what makes this such a good location is it has woodlot behind of it low 10 to 15ft trees in the middle of about 3 miles of flat farm land...the crows like to use it as a rest stop as they cross the flatlands....its like a natural becon....we only hunt it 2 times a month to keep it from getting burned out...
friday i will be hunting the dump pit about 4 miles away that the farmers dump all their unwanted produce....right now its loaded with pumpkins and the crows have been pilling in there....i built a nice pallet blind the other night about 10 yards from the pit....farmer said the crows have been sitting on the blind...he estimates at least 500 crows have been hitting that pit the last day or so....
to say i am excited is an understatement!
