Here is a sight few crow hunters get to see. Crows descending on a peanut field.

We took the back off the blind so I could get some of these action photos.

Thanks for adding the last two. I was having a difficult time putting my PC on its side to view your other terriffic photos.

Just for the heck of it I downloaded the photos that were not properly oriented, they downloaded the same way, I rotated each photo to the left and saved my edit, then I uploaded it here.  You just have to fix the orientation of the picture if it is uploading incorrectly.  However you can't see the orientation if you merely attach it. To see the orientation click on insert photo and you will see what the orientation looks like.

Thank you NH. These photos are vertical in my folder and I did have to rotate them but they come out sideways on Crow Busters. I will check the insert I just learned something.

Of course, I had 30-40 fly over my blind this morning. However, as usual, I was deer hunting. furious

Good photo's Bob, those flyways are a unique and great way to hunt crows from what I've read. I have a couple of them that I've been told of in 2 different parts of the State that I hope to locate this year. With the terrain and limited sight distance it is going to be a challenge to first find them and then obtain permission to hunt, but that is what crow hunting is about. A friend saw one flyway that lasted about 45 minutes, which for here I think is probly the exception. I've noticed over the years that we don't get the migrations of starlings and blackbirds that we had 20 plus years ago and I personally have never saw crows like your pics show only blackbirds. Hopefully that will change. Looks like you had good shooting in Nov. Congrats, our situation here has been a roller coaster ride and it doesn't look to improve but the only way to find out is to hunt, drought and unseasonable temps have to be at least part of what we have experienced. Not giving up but trying to learn methods that will overcome similar conditions in the future.

I love the videos where the crow looks like it is exploding but I love these photographs but my favorite is the flock leaving the base of the silo. Means by no means diminishes the others at all. That pond shot is breath taking in example. I cannot imagine so many crows....!!!

TC, Butch & Lefty, I love taking action photos because it is a real challenge trying to get a really good photo. You only have a split second to get the photo in some cases.

The fourth photo is my favorite shoot photo-someone made this crow look like  the bottom of that F117 stealth fighter!

TC,

The fourth photo was taken in the early 1980's and that was Jim Lundquist doing the shooting with a 16 gauge model 870 Wing Master with Improved Cylinder choke using a one ounce load of 7 1/2's. The 6th photo was also from the early 1980's and that was Boyd Robeson using a 20 gauge model 12 Winchester with a 7/8th ounce load of 8's out of a full choke gun. The 5th photo was of Dick my partner and I took that photo last season. The second photo was of Jerry Byroad in 2009 a year before he died from cancer. Jerry was 72 years old, he worked for General Motors in Maryland for his entire adult life.

I just purchased a new EOS Canon DSLR camera with the 18mm to 55mm lens to get some better wide angle photos of the crow hunting. It costs me birds to stand in back of the camera but it is very gratifying to capture a great photo.

Here's a big dummy question (This is New England) Hey Bob  hat can they possibly be eating?  Doesn't look like much corn anywhere? And why did they cut the grass? None the less the crows sure seem to love it!

Out here a gold course is exceptionally attractive to crows-why? Every thing under the sun  (almost) is available here. I am sure they love those moles and voles and very easy access to earth worms in example...

Here is another good action photo that I took of Jerry in 2008. You have only a split second to get a good photo so you need a little luck as well! This was shot with my old Olympus 35mm camera with roll film inside. Now all I use is digital cameras.

If you have not guessed by now, I love taking action photos. Part of a good photo besides being in focus and good lighting is the feel you convey in the photo itself. The feeling of almost being there if it captures good action.

Since things are slow right now I thought this might add a little entertainment for you gents.
