The first week I hunted this management land the crows immediately responded to my mouth call and came right to my 5 decoys. I shot a few and missed a few. The second week I hunted in spot number 2 and it was even better. They called back and came quickly to the decoys. The third week I hunted in spot number 3 and something different happened. When I called they ignored me but still called to each other from all directions. They continued to ignore my calling and I heard them moving away from me. I then got frustrated and started calling aggressively until one came and landed in a tall tree within sight on my decoys. That one sat there in the tree for a while and then called the others over. Crows came from everywhere but they were really high and they were scared to come any lower. Is this how it works? Should I forget this place and hunt another place or did I do something wrong?
