Anybody headed to the NRA Annual Meetings in late April? Gadget Bob will be in the house and there is an unconfirmed rumor that Field Marshal von Woody may be on-site to review the crow hunting troops.
Hope to see you there in Atlanta on Saturday and Sunday, April 29th and 30th. If anyone is planning to be there, we can meet somewhere TBD on the exhibit floor. Steak and Mountain High Pie at "Bones" in Buckhead might just be on the program for the Saturday evening post-show dinner!
I'll be there at the Black Rain Ordnance booth, can't remember the number off of the top of my head but that would be neat to meet up. I was at the Great American Outdoor Show the other week in Harrisburg and was able to stop by the FOXPRO booth to check out the callers, thought I might have seen one of you all that are field reps for them. I didn't, but I was only able to stop by for a few minutes.
To you as well Bob! Getting in the last hunt of the season for us in Missouri today... had over 200 hundred fly over yesterday so I am hoping the winds (17mph today) and weather (cloudy and cold) didn't discourage them from moving on south a bit.
Besides Shamrock, are any of you Crowbusters going to be in Atlanta this weekend at the NRA Show? I will be in the Leupold booth (#1841) working for Mossy Oak on Saturday and Sunday. Stop by and say, Hi!
And Shamrock, I will swing by to introduce myself on Saturday in your booth for Black Rain Ordinance - #4160!
Traffic is ruff over there since 85's bridge collapse and add the buckling of a spot on I-20 has the traffic a nightmare. Might be advisable to go ahead an plot some courses around to save time when you get there. Hope y'all have a great time.
The NRA Annual Meeting was fun! Got to meet and talk reloading with the one and only Hank Williams, Jr, at the Hodgdon booth.
Meeting Shamrock and talking crow hunting was a real treat, too. This next gen crow operator is the real deal.
Worked the Leupold booth for Mossy Oak and met some excellent fellow pro-staffers from Georgia - Mike ****erham, Steve Fowler along with Jim & Trish Curry. Working with them showing the latest offerings from Leupold was enjoyable.
And Butch thanks for your tip on Atlanta travel issues. I took your advice and used MARTA saving me $40 or so, plus getting me around much faster.
Next year this meeting is in Dallas during May so the full TCP crew will on-line. Plan to come on down for some Texas hospitality and real BBQ.
Great to meet you and talk crow for awhile. I also appreciate the kind words and advice. I will be giving you a call this next year, even if it is just to come down and visit with the rest of your crew.
