Red, this will give you an Idea of how vast the territory is that I hunt in. You can see for miles to the horizon, that is why I use an e-caller because you can call many birds that other wise would not give you a second look.

Your photos of the "wart" (blind) on a 4-section "pool table" target area always crack me up.biggrin

Hey, OA if you have an interest in duck & goose hunting I posted a 27 minute video on you tube titled "Hunting Magellan and Ashy Headed Geese" but there is also duck footage as well.

Just type In you tube.com and do a search for Bob Aronsohn goose hunting and it will come up. You will see some wonderful film footage.

OA, if you are on face book just send me a friend request and I can send it directly to you. Plus I will have film footage going up on Thursday about a Jack Russell Terrier retrieving ducks that are bigger than he is on water retrieves!

If you go to the web site "Hard Core Waterfowlers" you will see my post about the goose hunting. In the still photo you will see Boyd Robeson and I next to the geese we shot that morning. Look for this photo and you will see the video clip.

Hahaha, Im not that skilled Bob. But you are welcome.
I didnt have enough time to watch the goose hunting video so I watched some of your short crow videos. Do you know how to shoot anything other than a shotgun? I mean your shotgun looks like an extension of your right arm. You make it seem/look so easy! Lol

Hi Lefty,

I'm a better than average rifle shot but nothing spectacular by any means. When I post up some more full length film clips of crow hunting perhaps you could get them on the Bulletin Board for me? I am even going to headline one film clip "The Making of a Crow Hunter" it is film footage of me when I was 4 1/2 years old wanting to go crow hunting with my dad and second cousin in the fall of 1952. My dad had an old 1938 Packard 12 cylinder touring car that he used as a hunting rig, you will see it in the film footage as they are leaving on a crow hunt.

I even have some film footage of a Jack Russell Terrier retrieving mallard sized ducks on water retrieves. I will also have some wonderful old time film footage of Warren Page (an outdoor writer from the 50's and 60's) hunting pheasants and quail in the late 1940's. Also some French Poodles retrieving ducks in the late 1930's before the world war.

Why don't you use all the features of the this site and embed the video in your post so it will play right here rather than make people leave the CB site to watch it?

I want to thank you both for your help!

Ok, so how do I go about getting a film clip like this one on the Crow Buster Bulletin Board?

Pete I really like the way you have the photo framed, how do I do that?

I have some film footage that is right up your alley, it is a Kansas duck hunt for greenheads on a creek that is about 15 minutes from my home. The thing that makes this hunt unique is that during the lulls waiting for the waterfowl to move I hand called some crows on this same hunt for a little target practice. My camera man was teasing me saying they were "Black Ducks"

Simply upload your videos to Youtube, then use the Youtube embed button here on Crowbusters in any thread.

Ted,

No plug is needed, no steel is needed, no bag limit, and baiting is legal. It is like turning the clock back 120 years down there!

You are most likely posting using "Quick Reply". Click into the white screen where you type what you post. Then scroll down further using the slider on the right side of the web browser.  At the bottom of the screen you will see two tabs for posting, Quick Reply on left, Advanced Editor on the right.  Click on Advanced Editor and a toolbar/menu will be at the top. Look for the Youtube button, click it and paste in the URL for the Youtube video as it directs.

Ah, now we are getting somewhere.

Pete thanks for the help. I will be putting up some film footage of my dad and second cousin going on a crow hunt in 1951 in my dad's old 1938 Packard, I wish I had that car today! I was standing on the running boards wanting to go at 3 years old just to be with dear ole dad. My second cousin was on an air crew in Europe during the second world war, he is the one in the brown leather jacket.

Pete, I do not have the film clips on my hard drive they are on you tube. So how do I go to you tube once I am on crow busters? There is no space to type in you tube on the crow buster site that I could see.

Calling Lefty or Pete SOS....... if you type in you tube.com and type my name you will see the frames that highlight the "new film clips" Two others just went up, a friend of mine posted them off of his lap top last night. The titles are "father & son 1951 & 1961" and "River Hunt Flyway Shoot" Pete, that is Up State New York in 1951.

Lefty,

Thank you for trying, Pete from NH posted them on the "making of a crow hunter" thread about an hour ago. If you have time watch the river hunt it has some very good film footage in it.
