The first photo is from 1965 where it all started for me. That was my first taste of volume crow shooting and where I met Boyd Robeson for the first time in October of 1965. That is an old 1952 Chevy we used as our hunting rig in those days.
The next photo was taken in 1974 in Kansas in October over in Stafford County. Boyd and I were together on this crow hunt.
The next photo was a mechanical Great Horned Owl that my father used to use.
I was 27 years old in this next photo and it was taken in Kansas in February of 1975.
The first photo is of Boyd Robeson, Sam Salem and I in his kitchen before a crow hunt in the afternoon. It was taken in Stafford County, Kansas in 1975.
The second photo was from Reno County, Kansas in 1978 about 15 minutes from my home.
The third photo was taken in Sedgwick County, Kansas around 1982.
The last photo was from Sedgwick County, Kansas in 1992.
The kid to my left in the 1952 Chevy photo, the car belonged to him. His mom was my English teacher in 11th grade in South Dakota. I used to hunt pheasants and sharp tailed grouse with his mom when she would invite me.
Time goes by so fast, when you think about it I have been chasing crows longer than many guys have been alive on this Bulletin Board. So many wonderful memories from all the years out in the field with real men's men.
Every fall when you feel that first cool breeze I think back to the friends I once had that are no longer with us, they are gone but not forgotten.
TWO OF OUR MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IN LIFE BOB............FRIENDS AND THE GOOD MEMORIES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THEM. EVEN WHEN WE GET TOO OLD T GET OUT INTO THE FIELD, WE STILL HAVE THOSE MEMORIES OF THOSE GOOD FRIENDS.
