Finally got in the game! Brother and I made a couple hunts this weekend, was his 3rd and 4th crow hunts. Anyway we were rusty but of course there's only one treatment for that and we accepted it readily. First a:m was 70 degrees at first light, no wind and 88 % humidit, not the best conditions but you take it as it comes. Crows had to be finessed but we managed to down 88 by 9:15a:m and they shut down as the temp had jumped to mid 80's and according to brothers "smart phone" felt temp was mid 90's. We enjoyed good shooting and had probably 60 % soft shots but the others were "sporty" and we got to laugh at each other on several occasions . Next a:m temps and conditions were the same but humidity was a tad higher on the next property we shot. Anyway we didn't have as many targets to try only saw maybe 50 or so but what ventured our way hit the dirt and we wound up with 41. Anyway a good start for us and I think the brother is hooked now. Only took one pic of the first day birds as it was to hot to do anything but clean up and move for the next day.

Great going! You have to get somebody to film your shoots. I want to see more of them "thump!"

If your able to get down this way you can cause the "thump" . Going try to video a little hopefully this year if we can. Meant to congrat you on your hunt and pics but got sidetracked chuckling at BH's comment. Congrats

Man your slipping, I messed up with the pic of my feet at the beach, thought you'd be all over it (lol) thanks for the "thumbs up" Hope everything lines up for a good year, as I've learned these rascals don't play fair.

Going to try a place this Sat. that has not been hunted (by me, at least) in a couple of years. Hoping to find some uneducated ones.
Keep the black snow drifting.....

Brother I love green birds, had a couple on the first day that we shot at and then mouth called them back and they "tried"to land in the set which didn't bode well for them. Here's hoping your new spot has crows with the same IQ as these! Look forward to the report.
Bob O,
Thanks, in all fairness it was a target rich environment. You probably would have killed the same or more, have enjoyed your post and video's.
You know what, you are right. I AM slipping. I totally saw your beach picture and for some reason I never thought to attack. Dang, I coulda done something with that.
