The morning started off Cold, 22 degrees cold. That is really cold for a southeast Oklahoma hillbilly. Got the calling started with my hand call and got my first crow in, and killed with a hand call. The shoot could of ended right there and it would of been a success in my book. But, it didn’t they kept coming 2 and 3 at a time. We ended the shoot with the counter saying 46! There where a few that got away but for the most part we put it on them. My shot cam captured the crow I called in and killed and will post that later.
We had a few more first this shoot. We had a dang crow swoop in and light in the decoys. I figured we had things about right when that happened. The boondocker decoys are pretty dang convincing evidently. That crow will not see the sunset this evening. Then, Uncle Bill, to my far left in the pic winged one and a hawk drops in and sunk his talons into the crippled crow. That my friends is a hell of a good addition to your decoy spread.
The gun Bill is shooting is my grandfathers, ithaca model 37, kinda cool.

Good job Dale. Did the mo jo spinner play a part in this ? Now that your calling & shooting is on track we need to work on your pic postings. I get vertigo when i tip my head sideways ! Don't go back tomorrow & train them. Best wait a few weeks. I learned the hard way.
I got it out set it up along with everything else and went to turn it on and the dang batteries where dead. So, I took it down and made do without it. It will see action in the morning at a pecan farm and I’ll see how it does. Guess I will have to crop the pictures from my phone from here out.

Dale: Outstanding report and pictures!!!! If you might have been satisfied with 1 kill, then I am betting you needed a diaper to wipe the slobber off your chin downing FORTY SIX!!! You mentioned a rare event--bird landing IN your decoys! There is one very technical from a shooting perspective about crows landing--they require NO lead!!!
You would be correct in your assumptions of the saliva flowing from my mouth. Man, did we have a blast with that many targets, and a pretty good set up this time. About the bird landing in the spread, he flew there of his own free will and stayed there on my accord. Dicks book has upped my game seriously on my decoy setup, few decoys behind our blind was a game changer for specifics. had several fly so close we couldn’t even shoot them, as Bob A. says I could of got them with a fish net.

46 crows. This is not a small step for man...it’s a Giant Leap for Dale!!! Great going, Dale, your hard work is paying off in spades! Keep the great reports coming.
On the photos, let me know if you find a fix. Every time I post from my iPhone, it will turn at least one on its side.

Seems you have to rotate the picture on your phone and view it before uploading it. I poste two today that I didn't double check and they still loaded sideways.
