After deer gun season finally getting over with and crow season back open I got a chance to get after them today. We decided to hit a local pecan farm that we have hunted several times already and have made many mistakes further educating the crows there. I happened to have in my possession a brand new FF6 and thought there could be no better test than on these weary suckers. This go around we got ourselves set up in a much better position. Got to the orchard at 7:30, a little late to the party but we still got after them. I was chomping at the bit to get a crow down and see how the FF6 would preform. I hit the call and the first crow in Bill laid him in the shade and I hurried to get him on the FF6. The crows where very leery but soon as they caught a glimpse of the moving crow they couldn't help themselves. Most did not come directly in but would circle close by, land in the trees and then in good time make a pass over. We killed 19 over 2 and 1/2 hours and there is no doubt in mind that the flapper is the reason we where able to kill that many at that spot. I cannot wait to see it used on fresh crows with only an elementary education.
At 10:30 we had pretty much wore our welcome out and not a crow was in sight or could be heard. We decided to pack up and get back to our roots which is run & gunning. We had a couple good calls on some fresh crows and ended the run & gunning with 14 KIA's for a total body count of 33 on the day. The highlight of the afternoon run & gunning session was a set up where we killed all 5 crows that came within gun range. Not only did we get all 5 but we got our first triple, 3 came in at once and all 3 hit the dirt. Got to tell ya, I was pretty excited about that. My sidekick Colt, my son, was not in tow today. He seemed to think a birthday party would be more interesting than going hunting. All in all a good day on the crows in southeast Oklahoma.
The photos are from a Shotkam. I am still learning how to edit them and get them posted, wish I could upload the videos also. The victim in picture #2 was preoccupied with his comrade flapping away on the FF6 and was only feet from the end of my muzzle when he met his demise.

Awesome report, Dale! The FF5/FF6 is a game changer, isn’t it!! Your post details some great shooting, too!
Glad to know the turnaround time on the FF6 is shorter than when I ordered mine. After several weeks waiting, it arrived after my season had ended last year...what a bummer. Don’t plan on leaving home without it now, though.
Keep dropping them and posting the “CrowGoPuff” photos!

Yes I will not leave home without my FF6 in very close proximity to me. Took about 2 and a half weeks to get mine to me, once I got the order placed which took equally as long. You not getting yours while season was still on hurts my heart for you. The shotkam is going on Colts gun this coming weekend and will definitely post his "crowgopuff" shots. Glad you liked the novel I wrote as well.
Camo,
I am all over that century mark like stink on s###, just a matter of time and the amount of crows necessary.
Randy,
The FF6 put on quite a show for the first time i had it out. I will give it a hell of a testing out this coming weekend and let you guys know how it performed.

How much does a FF5 or FF6 cost in American dollars? Can some one post a few pictures of them. What is the difference between the two? Can you show a dead crow on one of them, as if it was being used?
The pictures where captured by my ShotKam, which is attached to your shotgun and sighted in. The red dot indicates the point of impact of my gun. It will take a 15 second video when a shot is fired. You can edit the videos and save still shots like the ones I posted. It’s a really good training tool as it shows exactly where and how you missed the bird.

That is a good question Demi, and I do not have an answer, other than that particular crow was very close when I shot him. Also I may have already lowered my gun and when I edited the picture it was out of the frame.

A device that will tell me how i missed ! Count me in on one of those. Especially after a previous outing when i fired 3 shells of 6 shot at a retreating crow that was within range & never even saw a feather fly. I then told my partner i'd pay $20 to know where those BB'S went since i was so sure i was dead on when i pulled the trigger. Thank's for the info Dale. When i get one of those, i'll know !!!!!!
Island Shooter...thanks for posting some pics of the FF5 flapper. I had already designed a flapper for crows before I ever saw a FF5, and mine does not require enough steel to rebuild the Brooklyn Bridge. I am still waiting on some parts that I ordered, so it may be a few weeks before I finish it. The FF5 looks like a very durable and functional unit, and I know you will enjoy it!
Keep us posted on your work. I for one am interested. And on that note, there is one simpler style for a flapper frame that might be similar to what you are going for. Don’t have any comparative data, but maybe this will help you in your work: https://www.a1decoy.co.uk/turbo-crow-corvid-flapper-2374-p.asp
