The City of Charleston is trying to ”cure” the downtown parking problem by raising prices and increasing ticketing. In return, many people have paid the extra fee to get a commercial license plate which entitles them to park in loading zones. This put a strain on the delivery trucks who were loosing too many spaces on their rounds, so they complained to the City.
In response, the City just enacted an ordinance to require business signs on vehicles parking in loading zones. All of this is like a dog chasing his tail.
The other day a crow hunting buddy pulled up next to me in a parking lot. I had to snap a picture of his new sign that keeps him legal. He said no meter maid would be able to decipher the company name! The circling continues...
