Avery crow decoys seem to be more expensive than all the others on the market. Are they worth the extra costs? They also seem larger? Is there advantage to being larger?
They make good sentries & one on the ground. The bigger size just makes them more visible from the distance. I have two of them and I really like them. Get the flocked ones.
The Avery decoys are larger, have a non-glare flocked finish and pivot in the wind. I use both the Avery and Flambeau decoys and honestly can’t see any difference in performance, particularly after throwing a few dead crows among them.
For us the pivot in the wind feature is a non-issue on most sets as we are usually in sheltered orchards.
If you like the flocked finish but don’t want to pay top dollar, any decoy brand can be flocked with a simple kit. It’s a 3 or 4 step process, but makes for a very good look.
Hope this helps. Good hunting!
