First hunt:  Friday morning we killed 66, we shot from 7:15 till about 9:30.  Paul accounted for 27 and I shot 39.  We where set  up a little close to the roost and the birds didn’t respond real well.

Second hunt:  Friday evening we had done the scouting and thought we had them by the yang yang.  We hauled copious amounts of ammo to our blind location with no thoughts of needing to haul it back.  As the time ticked away it became painfully clear that we had messed up.  The flight was a mile south of us.
we killed 22 crows.  Paul killed 10 and I killed 12.

Third hunt:  Saturday morning we had a sweet spot found and this time the tables had turned in our favor.  We shot 221 from daylight till about 1:30.  Most of the shooting was over by noon but we decided to keep plugging away versus hauling ass to another location.  Paul shot 95 and I shot 12.

Hay's gotta be made when the sun shines. That's a couple of good days of shooting guys!

We've all missed the flight or had something else go wrong. But if you'd done your due diligence, there's not much you can do about it. You certainly made up for it the next day. Thanks for the report and don't let 'em rest.

I type the post on my phone so some typos are to be expected. My number on hunt two was 126.

Randy,

We are having some fun for sure.

Dale, since it is usually so wet in you're territory that four wheeler is just the ticket! I have buried my four wheel drive pickup in pasture ground in your area in past years.
