Hey all,

Our first shoot of the new year was Tue. 7 Jan. in uncommonly mild weather for this time of year. 30 degrees and calm at dawn, warming to just above 40. West wind picked up to about 10 mph. Although some breeze early would've helped, it was a wonderful day to be hunting.

Early on it was apparent we were dealing with educated crows. Most of them staying high and suspicious on the way out. Other than a spell late morning and an hour or so around 2:00, when they decoyed well, we had lots of challenging shots. Great fun, but the tally didn't rise as fast as it could've. We ended up with 64.

Randy,

Isn’t anything more aggravating than them hanging up and toying with your emotions at 80 yards. Looks like y’all still did well with the tough shooting.

Dale,

It wasn't so much that they hung up, a lot of them just gave us a look from a gunshot and a half and some just gave us a wide berth. It wasn't their first rodeo.biggrin

 Paul,

They work very well and blended in good at that particular ambush point. We're reserving final judgement until we've used them more, but so far so good.
