Sorry to hear this. What causes you to make such a decision, advancing age and infirmity?

If you can't get the shooting or anything close to what you used to get, what's the point in spinning you're wheels ?

Land access keeps getting harder in some parts of the country. The crows move out of your area and you don't know where they moved too. These are but a few of the things that can take the wind out of any bodies sails.

Pete, in your crow roost locations you can scratch Galesburg Illinois off the list, they have not been in Galesburg in many years. Same for Wichita Kansas.

Pete, the chart says it's information from 2010 to 2014 regarding Wichita saying they have 100,000 crows! They never had anything near that number even in it's heyday! Perhaps 50,000 and the last good year down there was in 2000 which is close to 20 years ago now! There are a few still in residence in the Wichita area but not enough to hunt, perhaps 2,000 birds and most forage within the city limits.

NH ....fortunately my health seems to be pretty good for my age. After 52 years of chasing crows, I have just lost interest in it. I noticed 3-4 years ago that I was not enjoying crow shooting nearly as much as I did just 10 years ago. And as Bob A. posted, I have lost some shooting fields also where I use to hunt. Too many deer hunters leasing prime farm land, and forbidding any one to walk on it. Also my wife worries that I may have a stroke, or other problem, and can't make it back to the house. But fear of a potential health problem  certainly would NOT stop me from hunting!

The gear that I have for sale is by far the best I have ever seen...even if I did make most of it myself. Some guys came by my house to see it and were thoroughly impressed. I realize my stuff may be hard to sell, as there only a few crow hunters within 200 miles of where I live. But if I don't sell it, and I get over this hiatus, heck, I can always use it!
