This hunt didn't go as planned, we attempted to cut off a flyway and we got outsmarted.  I made a more portable blind for this very spot because we had to hump our crap a long ways.  We got 25 on the ground before we threw in towel.

I would also like to call attention to the picture below of my hunting partners antique ammo.  May just be me but I found it hilarious the age of some of the boxes, pretty sure they where older than me.

Scott I hate to hear you’re having such a crow shortage.

Yes, Dale got a laugh out of my shell's i took with on that trip but like i always say i like thing's the old way and that includes my shotgun shell's. The truth is that a friend bought about 25 or 30 boxes of old shell's at an estate sale. He kept the heavy loads & sold me the light loads for $4.00 a box. They shoot just fine. The shot cam got me back on track with my shooting, I was shooting in front of them. That's from practicing on sporting clay's, they travel much faster than the crow. Paul.

Dale, very nice film footage.

Did you have to walk in or could you drive to the spot?

What was the bulk of the crows shot, common crows or fish crows?

I see you are taking good care of my old gun! I also see that it went to the right guy!

Paul & Dale,

I always like to see the footage of your hunts. It never fails to make me smile.

Dale,
You can embed the YouTube videos in your posts if you copy the link from youtube then when making the post here on Crowbusters, use the YouTube button when you are typing up your post. A screen will pop up after you hit the YouTube button and that is where you post your copied YouTube link. Check it out...

It will show up like this:

Bob,

We had to walk in, it was a quarter of a mile or so. It was pretty much all fish crows that day, there may have been a common crow sneak in but I don't remember if there was.

And me and that old gun of yours are getting along just fine.

Really nice split screen effect. It's getting so with your videos, that I don't have to go out to get a "crow fix."

I'm sure there will be an IMAX version in the works. smile

Dale,

With your new found tech skills see if you can paste episode # 12 of mine from you tube to the Crow Hunting Addicts site if you can figure it out.

Much appreciated. I left a post for you but you have not seen it yet over there about series # 12.

Editing is very time consuming so many guys don't realize the amount of work it takes ( on your part ) to put good film footage together.

Real crow hunting? Dale, your footage is as real as it gets.

I'm glad I took the time to make some of those videos back in the 1980's, 90's and up to around 2000 because it's part of crow hunting history now. Some guys really enjoy watching hunting clips from way back when because it gives them a glimpse into the past. Myself included, love watching the old quail and pheasant hunts from the mid to late 1930's on you tube.

Dale,

I agree with OA above. You have taken your edit game up a notch quite quickly. What video editor are you using?

Jason,

I am editing the videos through IMovie. It is a more basic editor but once I get the basics down I am gonna move to Finalcut Pro which has way more effects and crap you can do.

Wonderful video Dale. I haven't fired a shotgun since last November, makes me wish for spring shooting but that's still couple months away sadly...
