The report of the NH fall 2020 crow season being a bust is fake news. This has been a good season in spite of a lot of bad weather during the prime time of the fall migration. 10ga and I hunted a favorite killing ground 3 days this past week and took 209 crows between us including three piebalds. I doubt we killed one tenth of one percent of the birds we saw migrating. Those of you south of NH get your guns and ammo ready, they are coming by the thousands.

HHHeeyy Professor!! I went scouting late today as where I need to go is a little hike from here but as I progressed I suddenly observed around twenty gliding over head like B-17 bombers but I couldn't stop and not even a hundred yards further along my route there was so many crows it was more than I spotted up the road aways a couple days ago so you know I am taking Monday off!!!
The Professor has another shotgun someone gave him in pathetic condition but he breathed new life into it and it looks spectacular..I think it was a model 870....so he is in the big leagues for sure (and that wasn't "fake news") for New Hampshire he has the advantage of this crow migration route where as my old route has by and large dried up!
Nice shooting and in 3 days still impressive all around.....I still can barely believe the amount of crows I saw today.....I am thinking maybe the Professor sent me over some of his?! Again I will be attempting to get some on Monday (if no rain?)
They almost look like the old roost I used to shoot (not in the roost-about half a mile out-the correct way to do it) but no closer than that idea.....some one apparently did as the roost isn't where it was a couple three years ago....! Much more than I saw Saturday in this one area....which means quite a bunch! Well stay tuned!!
Oh by the way; "fake news"?! I vote Republican although some times holding my nose when I do it but I'll never go "demeroid" unless they are cut from the same cloth as James Trafficant of southern Ohio....his party hated him! The government hated him and they managed to set him up and get him sent away because they were pretty angry at him being too honest and in Washington,DC that is a death sentence which by the way to this day I believe he was murdered....one reason was embarrassing Tel Aviv as to the identity of "Ivan the Terrible".....he defended this fellow and it turns out he wasn't "Ivan the Terrible!" The hair coloring was wrong; the eyes but it was political and he saved an innocent mans' life!! So yo cruippled when the ATF arrived unannounced u don't march lockstep with governments' demands you could wind up very very dead!
Anyone remember during the mid to late seventies when the ATF was "accidentally" shooting the wrong firearms dealer?? Jimmy Carter gave the ATF a blank check to go put the dealers out of business with one case a fellow was shot in his own home !!(Moorehead) I believe.....took a round right in the head but survived but was never the same after that....courtesy your ATF; an out of control so called "Federal" "law enforcement"(makes up the rules as necessary to get the job done....) and despite congressional hearings after Waco.....they were on a roll but on a smaller scale....now thw ATF is restricting any gun they don't happen to like. Remember that ugly "street sweeper?" It was legal for a couple of years until the ATF were given a blank check to restrict them.....foe you folks with the big crow populations it might have been a Godsend but the atf had other iodeas...notice how they never raid the Blooods and the Crips headquarters preffering instead to drop off boxes of whatever firearms in back alleys to have lots of crime?? Oh yes even atf whistle blowers have said as such whereas this type of police were fired......and so it goes!

New owners and despite the large numbers of crows the farmer at this point verbally posted it and told me of problems with other hunters-so seen seen the,m all....we parted on friendly terms(I hope) but no hunting there for me!!!
