Here are a few pics from this past season. I am posting from pics I had to move to my computer, so I hope this works...
I discovered 2 new farms to hunt that I believe will provide a lot of action for me moving forward. The farmers are very eager to reduce the crow damage to their watermelon crops. I believe all these pics have my blind in the background. I had another hunt from the burn pile blind that yielded 9 but I don't know where the pic has gone...
We're looking forward to next season as well. I just gave batteries their late spring charge and have been going through the stuff, making repairs and improvements.
Shotshells seem to be more plentiful than last year, but $85 won't get a flat home around here. My supply is good, but at some point in the next couple of years I'm going to have to bite the bullet and re-stock. It'd help if the re-loading components I need became available.
My crow shooting partner does the reloading and we're working on perfecting an ounce or 1 1/8 load of #7's that work for both of us. Kinda hard to do when powder choices are limited. We've about given up on Winchester primers and are using Cheddite's. #7 shot supply is getting low and is out of stock locally. We'd like to get our hands on an eight lb. jug of Winchester SH or its equivalent.
Makes one yearn for the days when 15lb. kegs of your favorite powders were stacked in the corner of reloading room.
