Friday morning my good friend Clint, Colt and I done some morning scouting. At good light we made our way to an area I suspected of being pretty close to the roost. As the crows rolled over our heads my suspicions where confirmed. We made our way north about 6 miles to set up and hunt. We set up on a spot w...

This morning Bill and I made a return trip to a spot where we took 87 birds. We had a North/Northwest wind which I thought would make the blind location I had in mind perfect. We have gotten somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 inches of rain the past month and the road into the field looked pretty dicey. ...

If any of you guys have been shooting crop depredation crows, you have until January 31st to send in your Annual Report form to the Feds, (regardless of them being currently unfunded). This is a simple form that takes 10 minutes to fill out and stuff in an envelope. Here is the link for the form: https:/...

I scouted a track of farm land out near my home on Saturday and seen a good number of crows and didn't think I would get to hunt them this weekend. I got their flight path to and from the fields pretty much down that morning. I also found the perfect spot for the blind, now all I had to do was be able to get ther...

We decided late yesterday evening to do some crow hunting, run & gun style today. Uncle Bill, my good friend Clint and I made up the team. A cold front came through last night and it never got out of the low 30's today, pretty dang cold by my standards. Our first set up was a good one producing 13 KIA's...

In return, many people have paid the extra fee to get a commercial license plate which entitles them to park in loading zones. This put a strain on the delivery trucks who were loosing t...

On the way to a deer hunt, a friend and occasional crow hunting partner called me about “thousands“ of crows in a peanut field. This was weeks ago and ever since, he has been trying to connect with the landowner for permission...dead ends right and left. With each passing day there were fewer and fewer b...

As they say: "Let your fingers do the walking!" While trying to find new orchards to hunt, I stumbled onto an efficient method that is working for me. So far, I've found dozens of orchards and some are starting to show some results. The method?... Google Maps! Saves on gas and tire wear. Aerial sear...

The Oasis, as I have nicknamed it is about 1000 acres of standing corn, tucked in a bottom, in-between the mountains of southeast Oklahoma. There is also a pretty good spread of pecan trees on the property. All of this adds up to a good opportunity to roll a decent amount of bandits close to home. My nor...

I knew something was going on in that area for some time, But after leaving my deer hunting place a couple times early evening & driving home i saw the crows stacked up in the tree's right along the state highway. Many a time out I actually talked to a crow (with a call) and got suspicious crows to come in. Usually this individual would sit about 250-300 yards out at the top of a tree at the edge of a field-I was on the opposite edge. It's giving that "What's going on call?" Commonly called the "Hail call". You will re...

Day two of our hunt: As we poured out of bed at 5:30 this morning there was little doubt in our minds that today would be no different than yesterday. Today we would deal Mr. Blackfoot another stunning defeat. The deal was done, we where there and we had plenty of ammo, so we thought. We met up with Brad...

At 6:00 am this morning it didn’t look good for the home team and looked like we would only be watching the crows from the cab of the truck.
