First hunt of the year
(Preview)
Man I was hoping to tell a great Huntin story of lots of birds and carnage with pics of the "cart of death" over filled but it was not to be. Son, Grandson and I shot a picked cornfield that was holding a good many crows, at first light we heard a fair number wake up and leave for better food. Only ha...

Do you all let the dead birds lay out there? Are there any benefits to leaving them out? Are there any benefits to picking them up?

Sometimes they come packing a lunch
(Preview)
10gacrowshooter and I got out this morning and hunted till Noon. Still slow but it's nice to be able to get out this time of year. We managed to get 29 between us from a river front blind. I killed one packing a lunch and he held on to it for the trip into the after life. [IMG]https://i269.photobucket....

Help please
(Preview)
Guys way back when our website had a copy of a release form we could sign and give the land owner. Does any one have such a form that I could copy. I am trying to develop some new areas to hunt and I think that would be helpful. If you have one would you be so kind and send to my email. Thank You Jim

Bad Hunt Turns To a Fantastic hunt...
(Preview)
Did a little scouting over a week ago and had found a farm holding a lot of crows. This farm takes in all the old and rotten fruits and vegetables from the surrounding grocery chains and use it as feed so the crows have been gathering there by the hundreds. Got set up in the morning near where they had been...

Let them land?
(Preview)
Was just thinking about this. Has anyone or does anyone let them land in your decoys? I have shot them when they are coming into land maybe 10-15 feet from the ground. I use feeding setup and soft calling for the most part so they come in nice and slow looking to join the decoys. I am gonna try it this year and...

Layout blinds?
(Preview)
I remember when I first joined crow busters reading post that down played the use of layout blinds. I didn't use one for 3 years. I came across a 200 acre corn field that was a staging area about 3/4 miles from the roost. Corn was cut and had been for a while. I tried it and it worked great! I had birds close eno...

Have three nice calls to test
(Preview)
So, bought a call from my friend Matt at "MPK custom calls" in England the other month, tested it, and it's really good on carrion crows and rooks, but also jackdaws, gives a nice raspy sound. The basic model isn't expensive either at £25.00 (plus p&p), but if you prefer exotic, he can ma...

Crow busters membership payment method

Am I the only one who thinks it's odd that you have to mail in a $10 payment to get the membership? I love crow hunting and this is a great website for it. But why don't they accept electronic payment for the membership? It's accepted for the crowmart store. Crow hunting seems to be growing even if it's not a...

Crow and dove decoy at the same time?
(Preview)
I was wondering if anyone had any insight on using a setup for crow and dove. I would LOVE to be able to hunt both my favorite animals at once. Will dove come where crow are? I would think they will run them off and the dove would see the crow decoy and shy away. But what if they are out together?
