Gordon Krause "founder od Crow Busters"
(Preview)
Gordon is in Africa right now hunting. He just bagged a nice bull elephant with tusks weighing a little over 50 pounds each which is a decent bull in these times we now live in. He also got a very nice Eland which is a very large animal similar to a big ox. Bravo Gordon, very few of us get to bag an Elephant! Bo...

Not really 100% crow shooting, but related. i do pest control for farmers, and a big part of hat is crows, pigeons, squirrels, and foxes (we don't have coyote here, but the solution for fox should work with coyote too) i use all my crows, squirrels, and pigeons (minus the pigeon breasts which I pan fry w...

Success in the blueberries today.
(Preview)
Today’s report contains several success stories. Following this, the fourth outing this season, I’m pretty sure that the two “home-modified” pieces of equipment new to this season have proven successful. (1) The doghouse blind with the roof cut out is the easiest blind that I’ve found to set up (...

Wounded Crow
(Preview)
Hello, This morning while I was walking our corgi around our appartment complex my dog started hauling ass toward some black object about 50 feet away. It was a crow. I was very proud of my dog for his hatred toward this crow. He got within 10 feet before he took up all the leash. I was surprised that the cr...

I stopped by my local dealer yesterday and he was just selling the last of the 25lb pound bags of lead shot. He said he doesn't expect to see any new stock for a minimum of 3 months. He said his distributors told him their backorders number in the millions of pounds. All common shotgun target powders we...

I am sitting here anxious like a little child on Christmas Eve. Perhaps it is my age but in one hour I will be heading out to hopefully shoot some Crows even thought I have the opportunity to skip the hunt and enjoy the company of a lady friend. I want to thank everyone here for sharing their experiences so that I have some knowledge of what I need to do. Well first time out, no decoys and I was pretty much skunked as I saw one bird off in the distance but that was it. Finally got out a second time with a few decoys and I got a taste of why this could b...

Home-Made Plywood Decoy Project - Improvement: Crow on a Stick

Last two times out this season, which were also the first two times out, I placed myself in what I thought were pretty cool locations. However, I found myself restricted in decoy placement because the soybeans are planted pretty tight, leaving not too much excess space. You'd think these farmers wou...

Crow Flyway Locations and Dates

Hello folks. I haven't been hunting/killing crows for very long, and I have a very basic question. I know that there are probably a "scad" of articles and scientific studies about crow migrations, routes, dates, etc., but I can get a faster, more accurate, and concise answer from the fo...

(Preview)
Just to let you all in on a little secret. Instead of using the boat just for fishing try crow hunting out of it. I call it shoot and roll. Shoot a little bit then roll up the river. I hunt the great Ohio and have never ran out of crows. It's even fun to shoot the pigeons underneath the bridges.
