2 Crows plus collateral damage.
(Preview)
This weekend, I was asked to entertain a 17 year old who recently started hunting. He's seen photos of my hunts, and was eager to get some trigger time. I had hoped to get him on some dove, but we couldn't find any, so we switched to varmints. I told him he could shoot anything that was legal. Our ta...

Best wire for hanging decoys
(Preview)
Anyone have suggestions which wire is the best for hanging the decoys with a pole. For the flambeau I use a coat hangers but for the greenhead after a while the hole on the decoys cracks and is no longer any good. The coat hanger does hold up its strength over time. Thanks, Pete

A real case of ammo!
(Preview)
Both these wooden cases held 500 rounds each. The darker case was Government issue to the farmers and ranchers out here in Kansas. Thats right, they got free ammo to shoot crows back in the 1930's and 1940's. Bob A.

You ready for goose season? I've only gone after the crows 3 days but the shooting has been real poor. A handful of birds here and there; haven't even gone thru a box of shells yet. I have been running an idea across the coconut to figure out how to add motion to my decoy spread. The first thing is it must be is cost effective. The second thing is that it has to be simple. The third thing is it has to work. Going off of the motion of a GHG decoy and the basic principle of how it is made, this...

Estate and Fiocchi ammo

Anybody know anything about or use these? I like Federal 1 1/8oz loads for my sweet sixteen. I just don't like the price, and am looking for something cheaper but don't want crap ammo either. I know I may not need the 1 1/8oz loads, but for the 16ga that's my choice to get the 1295-1300fps that I want. The 1...

As some of you know I have been commenting on my exploits of shooting crows with an old Parker 10ga double.
