I am just curious as to how far you feel you can call a crow with a e-caller or hand call? I am certain I called birds the other day from 1/2 - 3/4 of a mile. I judged this distance based on 40 acre sections. I believe the birds were catercorner across two 40 acre sections in an adjoining field. So basicly they w...

I pulled up to the school this morning to drop off my little one for his speech class and there were fishes everywhere. Guys, Great stuff I am reading so far. I am in SE Virginia around lots of pines and large fields. Most of my hunting is done with a foxpro in timber short enought to shoot out of and involves 3-4 bird groups coming in and shooting 1-2 and the rest not coming back around. I have found that if I move deeper in...

On Saturday, I duck hunted with a buddy of mine, and when we finished, we turned to crows. In 45 minutes, we knocked down and recovered 16, including a partial piebald that he shot. It only had 3 white feathers, but still pretty neat. On Sunday, I duck hunted by myself, and then called up and shot tw...

Driving home from work this morning I saw a remarkable sight. Sitting in my truck at a red light I counted 31 crows in a stand of large cottonwoods.
