Spring Shooting 2017
(Preview)
Very early spring here, plenty of bird species here a good 2 weeks ahead of schedule. Crows were no exception... I have been out half dozen times with the typical 20 or so bagged each morning. Not a lot compared to others but this is within 20 minutes of my home. After a bleak winter this is a purely spir...

ID this bird.
(Preview)
Hey guys,
I haven't been around for a while but hope all is well. We moved and have been working on our new homestead so haven't taken the time to hunt much lately.
There is a disagreement on the ID of the bird in this video. Is it a crow or a raven? Location is in West Virginia with confirmed sightings of...

Crow shooting scores without a miss
(Preview)
Killing a lot of crows in a day is always gratifying. But quantity is not the only prerequisite of good, and fun, crow hunting. Quality of the hunt is also required to have a good day in the field, including good weather, a lot of crows to shoot at, a good total score, and a high percentage of hits. Thinking...

Who hunts them from the woods?
(Preview)
A guy in my area who does fairly well on crows says to get well away from the woods when hunting crows. I was wondering if any of you actually set up in the woods to hunt them and are you being successful? It seems like it would be a lot of fun if they do respond at all.

Disappointing Return - What Do You Think?
(Preview)
One of the owners of the many dove fields around here called to ask for help with a crow problem again. We hunted this field a couple months back and bagged 65. He recently re-planted the field and the crows had returned to pull up the sprouted seeds. Our season is over but crop damaging crows can be hunted...

Primos Old Crow Call - Any way to tune it?
(Preview)
Hello fellow Crow Busters, Has anyone tried or have had any experience with the Primos Old Crow Call? It has some potential but mine at the moment sounds more like a New Years Party 'blower' . The body is wooden and the mouthpiece is plastic with a reed inside of it of course. In comparison, the HS Hammeri...

I have been hunting my friend's 250 acre farm evey couple of weeks since mid winter. During the coldest weeks there was scarcely a crow to be found. When crow hunting, there is nothing more aggravating than equipment failure. Especially when it's 6:00 AM, 15 degrees, and still dark. I have had this happen to me about 50 times during the past 8-10 years. I finally got tired, fed-up, and disgusted beyond endurance, and became determined to fix a p...

Classic old crow hunting photos.

Pete (NH Crow) got me enthused to post some of these photos. I have posted some of them in the past but if you think about how fast time goes by just look at the time span between Pete's photos from 1953 and 1954 to a mere 10 years later in some of the waterfowl photos. The crow hunting photos date back to 1974 t...
